Software Engineer II - Frontend

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and maintain user-facing applications with Angular, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.
• Implement Figma designs using federal Design System components and contribute to component development.
• Write and maintain Selenium and Cypress end-to-end tests for UI workflows.
• Ensure frontend implementations meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
• Debug, optimize, and monitor applications across test and production environments while contributing to CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, QA, and UX designers from story refinement through production deployment, including peer reviews, SAFe ceremonies, and on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent additional experience.
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Angular, and Python for server-side development.
• Experience implementing UI designs from Figma or equivalent design tools.
• Familiarity with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright and automated testing practices.
• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and GitLab.
• Must meet federal suitability requirements and pass a background investigation.

Nice to have

• Experience with federal digital services or government contracting.
• Design System governance and component library contribution experience.
• Experience with accessibility tools such as Axe, pa11y, ANDI, JAWS, or NVDA.
• Exposure to SAFe and federal Design System or USWDS standards.
