TL;DR
Lead Program Scheduler (Aerospace): Developing and maintaining integrated master schedules for complex defense and aerospace development and production programs with an accent on critical path analysis, resource loading, baseline management, and schedule risk assessment. Focus on analyzing schedule impacts, creating recovery plans, supporting customer bids and reviews, and coordinating milestones across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and finance.

Location: Santa Clarita, California, US — onsite

Salary: $94,700–$126,300 per year plus bonus

What you will do

  • Develop, maintain, and manage Integrated Master Schedules for multiple defense and aerospace development and production programs.
  • Define project scope, work breakdown structures, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables with program managers and functional teams.
  • Monitor schedule performance, analyze critical paths and schedule impacts, and recommend recovery plans.
  • Prepare schedule metrics, variance analyses, and executive-level reports for program reviews and customer meetings.
  • Coordinate schedule updates across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, and other functions.
  • Support proposal development, Integrated Baseline Reviews, program audits, customer schedule reviews, and continuous improvement of scheduling processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, project management, operations management, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 7+ years of program scheduling or project controls experience supporting complex engineering, manufacturing, or defense programs.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules for multidisciplinary programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera P6, or equivalent enterprise scheduling tools.
  • Strong knowledge of critical path analysis, schedule risk management, baseline management, and earned value concepts.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and aggressive deadlines.

Nice to have

  • Experience in defense, aerospace, electronics manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with government contracts and DoD program execution.
  • Experience supporting proposal development and customer schedule deliverables.
