What you will do

• Develop primary and secondary structures, fluid hardware, and avionics for extreme thermal environments.
• Own the architecture, sizing, and development of insulation, heaters, thermal protection, and environmental conditioning systems.
• Build, execute, and validate component-, subsystem-, and vehicle-level thermal analyses, including tool development and automation.
• Guide design and development engineers in applying thermal sciences to system and component requirements.
• Develop and execute thermal-system tests, including test article integration, instrumentation, and data processing.
• Support vehicle and engine thermal-system development, stage testing, and flight operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in thermal analysis.
• Proficiency in component- and system-level thermal and fluids analysis using tools such as Sinda, Fluint, Thermal Desktop, or comparable FEM/FDM/FVM solvers.
• Experience performing analysis within an integrated vehicle program and solving complex problems with design teams.
• Hands-on experience writing test plans, performing testing, setting up instrumentation, and analyzing component- and system-level data.
• Experience with an engineering scripting language such as MATLAB or Python.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in engineering or a related field.
• 8 or more years of experience in thermal analysis.
• Familiarity with liquid rocket stages, engine architecture, and operations.
• Understanding of supersonic aerodynamics, aeroheating, and launch vehicle thermal protection materials and sizing.
• Experience completing design cycles for multiple vehicles.
