Manufacturing Test Engineer – Onsite

Location: Onsite in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 74,600–99,500 per year plus bonus opportunity

What you will do

• Design, develop, document, and validate manufacturing test suites for electronic boards and system-level products.
• Develop and enhance test software applications for product design verification and manufacturing support.
• Coordinate with engineering to ensure test equipment is available, functional, and suitable for project needs.
• Support sustaining manufacturing tests, new product introduction, and transfer of test suites from local and off-site design teams to production.
• Define manufacturing test requirements, review design-for-test coverage, and evaluate new technologies.
• Provide project estimates, documentation, process improvement input, and mentoring to junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science with 6 years of experience, or a technologist diploma with 10 years of experience in an electronic or electro-mechanical environment.
• Experience with C programming, Python scripting, JTAG, and test executives.
• Experience with single-board computer systems based on Intel or ARM architectures.
• Experience with Linux distributions including CentOS, Fedora, Rocky, or Ubuntu.
• Development experience with LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and TestStand.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, with strong communication skills and a commitment to quality and deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with bootloader technologies such as BIOS, U-Boot, Slim Bootloader, or UEFI.
