Quality Assurance Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote from Cork, Ireland; less than 10% travel. The team is currently remote and is growing locally to support in-person collaboration.

What you will do

• Use AI coding assistants and agents, including Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude Code, to accelerate automated test creation, test-data synthesis, and regression testing.
• Create and maintain automated tests for cloud platform features using established frameworks.
• Apply Closed Box testing techniques and basic Open Box analysis to detect defects early.
• Set the direction for day-to-day quality activities within the feature team and provide informal guidance to team members.
• Integrate automated tests and quality checks into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers during discovery sessions using BDD/TDD to define acceptance criteria and test coverage.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional software quality engineering experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience creating automated tests with C#, .NET, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of state-transition testing, decision tables, domain analysis, code reviews, and statement or branch coverage.
• Intermediate experience with BDD techniques and tools.
• SQL Server or relational database validation experience and REST API testing experience, such as Postman.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI agentic test development.
• Exposure to Azure or AWS and infrastructure concepts.
• Experience with performance or security testing.
• Experience validating software for the construction sector.
