Senior QA Engineer (Test Automation)

What you will do

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases covering functional, technical, and business requirements.
• Analyze specifications to identify logic gaps, risks, and edge cases before development begins.
• Perform manual and automated testing for new features, bug fixes, and regression cycles.
• Write, run, and maintain automated tests in the internal test automation framework.
• Design testing strategies for AI-powered features, including prompt evaluation, output validation, regression detection, and reliability checks.
• Drive QA improvements, evaluate AI-assisted testing tools, and collaborate with Product Owners and Developers during Agile sprints.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software quality assurance experience with senior-level ownership of QA processes.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing and test automation, preferably using Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
• Experience testing AI/ML features or products and using AI-powered tools for test case generation, exploratory testing, test data creation, or automation assistance.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI, API testing, Postman, Jira, Confluence, and SQL and NoSQL queries.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in Agile/Scrum product environments.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment from Hungary.

Nice to have

• Experience testing Generative AI or LLM-based products, including chatbots, RAG systems, and autonomous agents.
• Knowledge of semantic similarity assessment, LLM regression detection, hallucination identification, and prompt-injection vulnerability evaluation.
• Experience with AI-assisted QA workflows, LLM evaluation frameworks, or observability tools such as LangSmith, Ragas, or DeepEval.
• Experience with performance, load, or reliability testing for AI inference endpoints or data-heavy services.
• Background in fintech, loyalty, ecommerce, or other regulated enterprise sectors.
