Senior Responsible Engineer, Valves

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; on-site work at the factory

Salary: $132,000–$198,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design and analyze clean-sheet cryogenic, pneumatic, proportional, and solenoid valves.
• Perform detailed fluid, thermal, and structural analysis of valve parts and assemblies.
• Plan and execute development and qualification testing for internally developed valves.
• Support engine and vehicle testing for existing flow control products.
• Conduct trade studies and develop architectures that satisfy system requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Applied knowledge of thermodynamics, structures, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer.
• Experience with Matlab, Python, or C++.
• Experience with CFD and FEA tools, including ANSYS.
• Ability to work on-site in Long Beach, California.
