Investment Portfolio Analyst (Fixed Income)

Location: Fully onsite in Phoenix, Arizona at 2155 W Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85027

Salary: $68,000–$100,000 per year, with potential performance-based incentive compensation

What you will do

• Analyze fixed income securities and the investment portfolio to support buy and sell decisions, including yield book, unrealized loss, stress, scenario, and relative value analysis.
• Prepare trade support materials and coordinate with Treasury and broker-dealers on execution, settlement, and documentation.
• Monitor portfolio performance and risk metrics, including credit, duration, NII, EVE sensitivity, liquidity, cash flow, unrealized gains and losses, and AOCI.
• Prepare ALCO and ALCO Investment Sub-Committee reports, dashboards, analytical exhibits, limit monitoring, and variance analysis.
• Support investment accounting, AFS/HTM classifications, reconciliations, month-end and quarter-end close processes, audits, and regulatory exams.
• Monitor credit exposures, external investment managers, advisors, and broker-dealers while contributing to analytics, reporting, data quality, and control improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree, or relevant experience, in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in bank treasury, investment securities portfolio management, fixed income analytics, or balance sheet management.
• Working knowledge of U.S. Treasuries, Agencies, Agency MBS/CMO, municipal securities, investment-grade corporates, and money market instruments.
• Knowledge of bank regulatory and accounting concepts, including AFS/HTM classifications and realized and unrealized gains and losses.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills in a regulated environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with investment analytics or treasury systems such as Bloomberg or Yield Book; occasional travel is required.
