Portfolio Administrator - Analytical Specialist (Private Credit)

Location: Chicago, IL; legally eligible to work at the specified location and, where applicable, hold a valid work or study permit. Details of the on-site and remote work proportion will be discussed during the interview.

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and location. Additional incentive compensation may be available.

What you will do

• Maintain accurate client portfolio data, financial reporting records, and covenant documentation.
• Support quarterly reviews, CAMP reports, credit reviews, regulatory examinations, and market updates.
• Produce monthly and quarterly borrower trend cards and portfolio trend reports.
• Prepare collateral value adjustment analyses and financial models using advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Collaborate with Credit Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Loan Services, Client Specialists, and Compliance.
• Mentor Associates, Senior Associates, and Portfolio Managers while supporting CIBC’s risk and compliance culture.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in portfolio administration, risk management, or commercial banking, ideally within a financial institution.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented approach to complex data sets and actionable reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and financial modeling skills.
• Experience collaborating across business functions and supporting risk management activities.
• Ability to work in compliance with relevant policies, frameworks, and guidelines.
• Legal eligibility to work at the specified US location is required; a valid work or study permit may be required.
