Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Hybrid, based in Fall River, Massachusetts, with at least 1 day per week in the office; occasional customer-site travel up to 10%.

Salary: $135,000–$273,000 per year, with ranges varying by experience, skills, and education.

What you will do

• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, code review, testing, integration, debugging, deployment, and maintenance.
• Build and maintain high-performance, scalable, distributed, service-oriented software for a hybrid cloud platform.
• Complete engineering tasks independently through planning, prioritization, implementation, and delivery.
• Collaborate with distributed teams and stakeholders across software development and customer engagements.
• Improve code quality through unit and integration testing, static analysis, documentation, and engineering best practices.
• Deploy and maintain software across cloud environments, secured air-gapped networks, and tactical platforms.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of full-time professional software engineering experience.
• Practical engineering experience with Java, C#, Kotlin, or Scala.
• Experience building scalable, distributed, service-oriented software using modern frameworks and design patterns.
• Ability to work on-site at the Fall River facility and travel up to 10% as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with HTTP, REST, OAuth, microservices, Spring, or Quarkus.
• Linux development and networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, TLS, and DNS.
• Experience with Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Git, Kubernetes, virtualization, and containerized deployment.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, JDBC, JPA, or Hibernate.
• Frontend full-stack experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, React, Redux, or Webpack.
