Finance Internal Controls Analyst (Fintech)

Location: London, Cardiff, or remote within the UK; remote workers may attend ad hoc meetings in London.

Salary: £48,500–£57,500 plus a performance-linked incentive award.

What you will do

• Provide guidance on key financial controls and deliver insights and improvements across hirify.global.
• Enhance and maintain the Finance internal control framework.
• Support control remediation projects, process walkthroughs, and internal and external audit control validation.
• Identify automation opportunities in business-as-usual processes and reporting.
• Coordinate management and senior stakeholder reporting on financial control effectiveness.
• Review first-line financial controls and support risk, controls, governance, ERP changes, policies, and finance training.

Requirements

• Qualified or soon-to-be-qualified accountant with experience in internal controls, internal audit, or SOX 404.
• Experience in financial services, related industries, Big Four, or a similar environment.
• Strong understanding of key financial controls and the banking control landscape.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to explain complex technical information clearly.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Must be based in the UK for this remote role.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAP or BlackLine.
• Experience with Looker, SQL, BigQuery, dashboards, data, or programming.
