Supplier Development Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: On site in Piedras Negras, Mexico

What you will do

• Conduct on-site audits and risk assessments for new and existing suppliers.
• Develop capable and stable supplier manufacturing processes and lead supplier development activities.
• Identify critical-risk suppliers and implement improvement or “get-well” plans.
• Establish and manage material qualification processes, including PPAP, for new materials and engineering changes.
• Support procurement category strategies, supplier selection and qualification, and new product development.
• Monitor supplier scorecards and quality metrics while coordinating corrective actions with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Engineering degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality or supplier development.
• Experience with ISO, IATF 16949, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and MSA.
• VDA 6.3 auditing knowledge is required.
• Advanced MS Office and basic SAP knowledge.
• Bilingual Spanish-English communication skills required.
