What you will do

  • Develop fuel and oxidizer turbopump assemblies for the Aeon-R engine family.
  • Design, develop, test, and iterate turbomachinery across the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with propulsion development, manufacturing, test, launch, and integration teams.
  • Perform or support structural, thermal, and fluid analyses.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex turbomachinery operational issues.
  • Support engine development toward Terran R's first launch and future reuse.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or related technical degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of turbomachinery design, analysis practices, and fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of turbopump assembly procedures, including rotor balancing, interference fits, clearance checks, structural proofing, and leak checks.
  • Ability to perform basic structural, thermal, and/or fluid analysis.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex turbomachinery operational issues.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to drive projects to completion in an ambiguous environment.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Experience with bladed CFD, structural, modal, and rotordynamics analyses.
  • Experience designing inducers, impellers, or turbines for bladed turbopump components.
  • Startup or agile development experience.
  • Experience working in a flight development program.
