Senior Data Scientist (Fraud Strategy & Portfolio Analytics)

Location: Onsite in Strongsville, OH; Birmingham, AL; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; or Pittsburgh, PA

Salary: $91,000–$169,000 base annual salary, plus incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Lead analytical projects using large structured and unstructured datasets to generate actionable business insights.
• Direct data gathering, processing, mining, and analysis of complex datasets.
• Develop machine-learning algorithms and statistical models to predict business outcomes and recommend actions.
• Design and lead analytical experiments to identify opportunities for product and process optimization.
• Present insights to management through data visualization and data storytelling.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, engineers, and visualization experts on data-driven solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry-relevant experience and a university or college degree, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
• Master's degree.
• Strong analytical thinking, data skills, quantitative analysis, mathematics, and statistics background.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, and R.
• Experience with data mining, machine learning, modeling, and anomaly detection.
• Must work in an in-office arrangement at one of the listed U.S. locations; visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not available.

Nice to have

• Prior banking or anti-fraud experience, especially with ACH, wire transfer, or other digital transaction products.
• Effective communication skills.
