Materials Testing Manager (Metals Testing)

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 per year

Provides materials testing and technical services through IMR Test Labs as part of Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies and Curtiss-Wright Corporation, serving commercial, industrial, defense, and energy markets.

What you will do

• Manage metallurgical department workflows to meet internal and external customer due dates.
• Lead a team of 10–12 employees and deploy staff according to departmental needs.
• Communicate testing timelines, completed tests, and solutions for testing concerns to customers.
• Coordinate cross-departmental communication to support integrated testing and customer satisfaction.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and employee processing with Human Resources and department leadership.
• Maintain quality compliance, support audits, and develop and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field with related experience.
• 4–5 years of leadership experience in a similar industry.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to build cross-functional relationships, foster teamwork, motivate employees, and drive results.
• Ability to work at the Lansing, New York location.
• May be required to complete additional security screening for access to export-controlled information.
