What you will do

• Conduct metallurgical testing evaluations using a variety of techniques.
• Collect and coordinate testing data and inputs from other departments for evaluations and IMR reports.
• Write accurate and timely metallurgical evaluation reports.
• Communicate results, answer questions, and support customer relationships, tours, visits, and audits.
• Follow safe work procedures, maintain laboratory equipment and appearance, and assist with procedures and training.
• Maintain technical knowledge of metallurgy and materials science, monitor field developments, and contribute to professional societies and technical publications.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field preferred; equivalent training and experience may be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in a materials testing or engineering laboratory.
• Familiarity with metallurgical testing techniques and equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data-entry systems.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently or as part of a team.
