TL;DR
Sr. Analyst, Fund Administration - Alternative Assets (Fund Administration/Alternative Investments): Overseeing valuations, capital activity, pricing, audit coordination, tax compliance, and investor relationship support for sponsored hedge funds and private equity funds with an accent on operational controls, reporting accuracy, and fund administration expertise. Focus on reviewing fund valuations, preparing investor K-1s and tax returns, resolving operational issues, coordinating audits, and managing subscription and redemption processes.

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Specific on-site and remote work arrangements will be discussed during the interview process. Candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $85,000–$125,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and location.

What you will do

  • Oversee quarterly and monthly valuations, capital activity, pricing updates, and operational processes for sponsored alternative investment funds.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, tax reporting, annual investor K-1s, and fund tax returns.
  • Review subscription agreements and redemption requests for accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify, resolve, and document operational issues while developing and enhancing controls and procedures.
  • Support investor relations activities and oversee key fund-related vendors.
  • Train and mentor junior analysts and contribute to special projects and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business.
  • 5–7 years of experience in fund administration, tax accounting, or audit and accounting, specifically with hedge funds or private equity funds.
  • Strong knowledge of alternative investments, security analysis, and industry best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with hedge funds and private equity funds, plus advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills with close attention to detail.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States at the specified location is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
