What you will do

• Lead and develop the avionics production team while defining projects, goals, and operational initiatives.
• Identify production gaps and inefficiencies across the manufacturing floor.
• Implement tools, systems, and processes based on lean manufacturing principles.
• Optimize manufacturing workflows, reduce waste, and drive continuous improvement.
• Improve production quality and efficiency while supporting operational excellence.
• Collaborate with design, production, engineering, and executive teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in a leadership or management role.
• Strong understanding of avionics manufacturing, including PCBA manufacturing, harness fabrication, and electronics box assemblies.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, process optimization, and quality management systems.
• Experience scaling low-volume or pilot production lines to high volume.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.

Nice to have

• Understanding of AS9100 processes and quality management systems.
• Experience with electronics supply chain management.
• Familiarity with quality controls for PCBAs, wire harnesses, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with environmental testing standards such as SMC-S-016 or DO-160.
