Senior Hardware Engineer (RF PCB)

What you will do

• Design complete mixed-signal and RF schematics covering power, digital, and RF sections.
• Lead PCB placement and routing for 6–8-layer boards, including controlled impedance, ground planes, signal integrity, EMC, and RF constraints.
• Select components and optimise BOM cost, availability, reliability, and manufacturability for volume production.
• Lead hardware bring-up and debugging using oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, and other bench equipment; write bring-up scripts when needed.
• Address EMC and RF compliance, including antenna impedance matching, RF performance, and signal integrity.
• Collaborate with embedded software and mechanical engineering on hardware interfaces, firmware bring-up, enclosure integration, thermal management, and shielding; support manufacturing ramp-up and NPI transitions.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience designing and shipping complex PCBs into production, ideally combining digital and power electronics.
• Strong PCB schematic and layout design skills; Altium Designer experience is preferred.
• Experience with RF PCB design, controlled impedance, antenna matching, and EMC management.
• Experience with mixed-signal design, power management, MCU interfaces, and SPI, I2C, UART, USB, and CAN communication buses.
• Proficiency with hardware bring-up, debugging, and electronic bench equipment.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA, component selection, BOM management, and PCB manufacturing and assembly.
