Sr. Test Engineer (RF)

Salary: $115,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the assembly and integration of RF subsystems and components into spacecraft.
• Develop test plans and procedures and conduct RF performance testing, including sensitivity, signal-to-noise ratio, and frequency response.
• Troubleshoot RF hardware issues and prepare systems for thermal-vacuum, vibration, EMI, and EMC testing.
• Analyze and report environmental test results against specified requirements.
• Collaborate with RF architects, design engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and systems engineers on integration, simulations, and performance optimization.
• Support testing involving EMI/EMC, GNC GPS, TTNC, electrical check-out, and spaceflight antennas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in RF subsystem testing and integration.
• Experience with RF system integration, simulation, performance analysis, payload RF systems, transceivers, and amplifiers.
• Hands-on experience with RF testing tools including VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and RF chambers.
• Proficiency in test design, validation, execution, troubleshooting, and relevant test-analysis software.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with signal-processing algorithms.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC characterization.
