Director of Business Operations (AI Legaltech)

Location: On-site in New York City, Stockholm, or London

Salary: $236.3K–$278K plus equity

What you will do

• Own Legora’s operating model, including direction-setting, cascading priorities, decision-making, escalation, and alignment.
• Design and run company-wide OKR or equivalent planning cadences, metric trees, MBRs, and QBRs.
• Translate metric-tree analysis into business cases that inform company bets and investment decisions.
• Define the decision-rights framework and partner with internal communications across 20+ locations.
• Own the business systems backbone, including Notion, Slack governance, knowledge management, tooling, and agent readiness, in partnership with IT.
• Build and lead the Business Operations team while establishing the steady-state operational layer for a rapidly scaling company.

Requirements

• 15+ years combining analytical rigor with hands-on operating work, including people leadership.
• Experience running company-wide planning, OKRs, metric trees, and operating cadences in an organization of 1,000+ people, ideally during hyper-growth.
• Strong analytics fluency, including end-to-end ownership of metric trees, SQL, dashboards, and data-informed MBR/QBR processes.
• Executive presence and the ability to drive outcomes through influence with founders, executives, and VPs.
• Experience building an operating model, planning cadence, or decision-rights framework from scratch.
• Experience in a Chief of Staff or senior operations capacity and in an environment where the organization doubled more than once.

Nice to have

• Background in consulting or banking followed by an operator role.
• Experience working closely with a Chief of Staff function.
• Experience in a hyper-growth company that scaled through repeated organizational doubling.
