Enterprise Risk Officer

Location: Fully onsite in Phoenix, Arizona

Salary: $78,000–$135,000 per year, with potential performance-based incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead Risk and Control Self-Assessments, risk assessments, and related risk management activities across the organization.
• Define assessment scope, gather information, document methodologies, and maintain supporting evidence.
• Identify, assess, and document risks, business impacts, controls, control gaps, and residual risk exposure.
• Draft actionable issue statements when risks exceed acceptable thresholds or controls are ineffective.
• Maintain and enhance enterprise risk processes, standards, taxonomies, methodologies, and governance.
• Collaborate with business leaders, process owners, and subject matter experts to improve risk reporting and alignment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or an applicable discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in banking, risk management, compliance, audit, or IT/operations.
• Strong knowledge of operational and enterprise risk management concepts, best practices, and regulatory guidance.
• Ability to independently manage multiple complex work efforts and direct stakeholders across the bank.
• Strong oral and written communication, critical thinking, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Advanced Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Power BI skills; knowledge of GRC systems is helpful. Certifications such as CRISC, CISM, CISA, or CGRC are relevant.
