Senior Enterprise Risk Manager (Fintech)

Location: New York, US Remote; remote employment is available only to candidates residing in select states.

Salary: $155,000–$195,000 annually, with an anticipated starting salary of $175,000.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise risk management activities, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, governance, documentation, and reporting.
• Plan and facilitate enterprise and functional risk assessments using quantitative and qualitative information.
• Maintain the enterprise risk register, including ratings, controls, mitigation plans, owners, and progress updates.
• Monitor risk indicators, incidents, control issues, audit findings, regulatory developments, market trends, and emerging risks.
• Partner with trading, compliance, legal, finance, technology, operations, and other functions to embed risk practices into business decisions.
• Lead scenario analyses, stress tests, control evaluations, audits, regulatory examinations, third-party vendor reviews, and risk-process automation.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks, methods, and tools.
• Experience independently leading complex risk work and coordinating contributors.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, judgment, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
• Experience in enterprise, operational, compliance, technology, financial, or related risk management.
• Understanding of market structure, trading mechanisms, regulatory requirements, internal controls, audit, or governance processes.
• At least 6–8 years of directly related or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with risk reporting, data visualization, or workflow automation tools.
• Professional certification such as FRM, CRMP, RIMS-CRMP, CISA, or a comparable credential.
