Senior Risk Manager (Enterprise Operations)

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States; onsite work required four days per week with the option to work from home one day per week.

Salary: $128,900–$214,900 annual, USD.

What you will do

• Advise Institutional Services & Wealth Management Shared Services and Commercial Lending Operations on operational, compliance, regulatory, and emerging risks.
• Build partnerships with business leaders, frontline Risk Officers, Compliance, Audit, and other risk functions.
• Lead risk assessments, control evaluations, remediation efforts, and multiple risk initiatives.
• Develop risk reporting, metrics, and Key Risk Indicators for senior management and governance committees.
• Support audit, regulatory, and issue management activities while improving controls and operational efficiency.
• Lead and develop a team of four or more risk professionals and help build the risk advisory function.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least nine years of experience in Risk Management, Operations, Audit, Compliance, or a related discipline.
• Experience providing risk advisory support to business leaders and cross-functional teams in a highly regulated environment.
• Experience leading complex initiatives and influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions.
• Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, governance practices, regulatory expectations, and internal controls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences at all organizational levels.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships, drive consensus, and achieve results in complex environments.
