Technical Deployment Manager - West (Data Center)

Location: Sunnyvale, California; San Francisco, California; or Bellevue, Washington, United States. The role requires travel to regional sites of up to 40% annually, including occasional weekend travel, and work in a 24/7 operating environment.

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage the deployment of new and ongoing data center sites, owning action plans from kickoff through delivery.
• Lead regional Build Leads and Technicians, set daily and weekly priorities, adjust staffing, and provide hands-on support at active sites.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Program Management, Procurement, inventory, Data Center Operations, vendors, and colocation partners.
• Resolve blockers, track build progress, maintain site documentation and trackers, and report status to stakeholders.
• Manage hardware, BOMs, inbound and outbound shipments, and reporting of missing, damaged, or short equipment.
• Advance data center standards, safety compliance, operational training, and the technical and professional development of team members.

Requirements

• 3+ years of management experience and a hands-on leadership approach.
• Deep knowledge of data center topology, deployment, operations, cut sheets, overheads, cable management, and hardware orientation.
• 5+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting, assembly, and deployment experience.
• 2+ years of Linux experience and 4+ years of fiber and Ethernet cabling experience.
• 4+ years of supply chain experience, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to travel up to 40% and work in a 24/7 operational environment; access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status, qualifying authorization, or likely eligibility for export authorization.
