Proposal Analyst, Senior - Defense - Onsite Position

Salary: $83,800–$111,800 annual, plus bonus

What you will do

• Develop cost estimates, financial analyses, and pricing strategies for defense proposals across the Integrated Systems business unit.
• Capture engineering bases of estimate, product costs, third-party costs, procurement inputs, and consolidated bills of materials.
• Prepare pricing for development and production contracts, including CPFF, FFP, and T&M arrangements.
• Support proposals from RFP through award, including negotiations, cost and pricing RFIs, cost volumes, sweep packages, and approval reviews.
• Maintain direct and indirect rates in ProPricer and improve costing and pricing tools with Finance.
• Lead targeted costing, pricing, and post-award closed-loop analyses, providing recommendations and lessons learned to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must work onsite in Santa Clarita, California.
• Superior skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding and experience with FAR principles, including FAR 14, 15, 16, and 31.
• Extensive costing experience, including proposal cost development, cost analysis, and pricing for sole-source and competitive bids.
• Experience preparing consolidated bills of materials and working with integrated ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Engineering, Business, or a related field, plus 2–4 years of related experience, preferably in manufacturing or a high-technology environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ProPricer.
• Experience with cost/revenue analysis and audits.
• Familiarity with the military and aerospace market and customer base.
