In-life Lending Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Manage complex in-life changes to lending facilities, including restructures, security changes, and loan modifications.
• Engage with customers to understand requests and work with underwriting and relationship teams on credit decisions.
• Review Early Warning Indicator alerts, identify emerging risks, and manage pre-watchlist accounts.
• Support remediation strategies and deliver fair customer outcomes while protecting the bank’s position.
• Build scalable processes, management information, reporting, and governance for in-life lending.
• Identify trends and drive continuous improvements across credit, operations, relationship, and collections workflows.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of SME or commercial lending and in-life credit risk monitoring.
• Ability to interpret early warning indicators and identify emerging credit deterioration.
• Customer-focused approach balanced with risk discipline, sound judgement, prioritisation, and escalation skills.
• Experience building and embedding processes, management information, and ways of working across stakeholders.
• Confident communication with customers and internal teams, with a focus on fair outcomes and strong documentation.
• Ability to create structure, clarity, and governance while working with imperfect data and evolving processes.
