Software Engineer (Go)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid role

What you will do

• Design and deliver features and improvements for reliable distributed compute services used across hirify.global.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code and contribute to code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve platform reliability, scalability, and operability.
• Support internal development teams by answering technical questions, resolving usage issues, and providing sample code and reusable patterns.
• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production systems.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on software development experience with strong fundamentals in testing, debugging, code quality, and design principles.
• Experience building production backend software in Go, Java, Python, or a similar language.
• Experience building and operating software on cloud infrastructure and working with distributed systems.
• Experience owning technical work from implementation through production support.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving production issues and evaluating technical trade-offs with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Production experience with Go and AWS services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, or Step Functions.
• Experience with containers, container orchestration, and observability tooling for logging, tracing, and metrics.
• Understanding of networking and security fundamentals.
• Experience with internal platforms, developer tooling, shared services, or Agile environments.
