Branching PM (Developer Tools)

Supabase is an open-source Postgres development platform providing integrated Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search services.

What you will do

• Own the workflow from local development with the CLI, migrations, seed data, and configuration as code through pull-request branches, GitHub integration, and production promotion.
• Talk to indie developers, startups, platform teams, and enterprise customers to identify needs and shape the roadmap.
• Define launch metrics, thresholds, and post-release analysis for workflow adoption and developer outcomes.
• Set product targets and commercial tradeoffs around provisioning latency, compute capacity, environment costs, and production data.
• Prioritize local development, partner platforms, enterprise release requirements, and infrastructure work while managing SLOs and error-budget tradeoffs.
• Keep engineering, design, and leadership aligned across compute, storage, the CLI, dashboard, and GitHub integration.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience in developer tools, or experience as a founder with strong product instincts.
• Hands-on technical ability, including following design discussions and investigating code, with or without AI assistance.
• Experience shipping developer-workflow products involving local development tooling, migrations, CI/CD, ephemeral or preview environments, or Git-integrated deployments.
• Understanding of tradeoffs involving CLIs, dashboards, schema-only environments, data environments, cloning strategies, configuration files, and stateful-system branching.
• Ability to work hands-on with local projects, version-controlled migrations and seeds, pull-request branches, and production promotion workflows.
• Bias toward action, iterative delivery, written decision-making, and asynchronous collaboration.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the Postgres ecosystem, including migrations, extensions, and tooling.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate product work.
