Accounting Advisory Manager (Accounting)

Location: New York, NY, United States; must live within a commutable distance of the assigned hirify.global office and work from the office 3 days per week. Up to 30% domestic travel to client sites across the United States is required.

Salary: $158,976–$184,000 per year.

What you will do

• Provide accounting advisory services on complex technical accounting matters, regulatory and strategic business changes, new accounting standards, framework conversions, IPO readiness, financial statement carve-outs, and on-call advisory needs.
• Manage client expectations, resolve technical and service issues, and deliver high-quality work on schedule.
• Communicate with external auditors, audit committees, and client management to assess needs and provide substantiated advice.
• Identify regulatory and market trends and build trusted client relationships and new business opportunities.
• Collaborate across Accounting Advisory Services, CFO Advisory, regional teams, and functional service personnel.
• Supervise 2–5 Senior Associates as needed for each engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, a related field, or a foreign equivalent.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, finance, advisory, audit, or a related role.
• Experience with financial statement audits, accounting advisory, or transaction advisory consulting.
• Experience with US GAAP, SEC reporting, technical accounting memoranda, financial statements, footnote disclosures, 10-Ks, and 10-Qs.
• Knowledge of AICPA and PCAOB procedures and standards, business combinations, revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, and intangible asset valuation.
• CPA or Chartered Accountant licensure or membership in the US or another jurisdiction required.
