Accounting Advisory Principal

Location: United States; offices in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, and Massachusetts. Principally in-person with flexibility determined with the supervisor and team.

Salary: $165,000–$245,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead complex accounting and finance advisory engagements from planning through reporting.
• Advise clients on technical accounting, US GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, assurance and tax readiness, and post-acquisition accounting integration.
• Manage client relationships, engagement economics, staffing, quality reviews, billing, and collections.
• Develop clear client-ready reports, presentations, proposals, and engagement letters.
• Lead, mentor, coach, and evaluate engagement teams while coordinating internal and external resources.
• Drive practice growth through client expansion, referrals, cross-serving, new offerings, and business development.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or business administration.
• CPA strongly preferred; equivalent finance and accounting experience is acceptable.
• Proven practice development experience and expert-level consulting leadership across multifaceted engagements.
• Experience with engagement contracts, risk management, public accounting practices, accounting systems, and financial tools.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
