Senior Structures Responsible Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Own the full design cycle for primary and secondary structures, from conceptualization and analysis through manufacturing and testing.
• Develop structural load paths, complex structures, and adjacent-system packaging for components such as thrust structures, propellant tanks, interstages, and fairings.
• Review static and dynamic loads, material properties, test data, and structural system requirements.
• Analyze and size flight structures, complete design reviews, and release engineering drawings.
• Develop and support hardware test campaigns, including test integration, operation, and evaluation of results.
• Support manufacturing process development and fabrication of flight components.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a design engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with industry-standard CAD packages such as NX, Creo, or SolidWorks.
• Working knowledge of structural analysis, finite element methods, hand calculations, and structural testing.
• At least 1 year of experience working on structures strengths.
• Ability to independently lead projects, document technical work, and present recommendations in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of mechanical or structural design and analysis experience.
• Experience with NX and TeamCenter.
• Experience using Nastran and ANSYS.
• Experience with GD&T and drafting.
