What you will do

• Expand event-driven trading strategies across exchange feeds, market news, social media, and infrastructure telemetry.
• Run rapid analyses in Python and Jupyter to evaluate signal quality and convert findings into system improvements.
• Build and operate agentic LLM harnesses with tools, context management, evaluations, guardrails, retries, and human-in-the-loop boundaries.
• Apply LLMs to extraction, classification, triage, and research acceleration while assessing when they are not appropriate.
• Own performance from the network edge to in-memory stores, including instrumentation, monitoring, and production debugging with operations.
• Lead green-field initiatives, design reviews, and post-mortems while maintaining high reliability and precise SLOs.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience building real-time or data-intensive systems.
• Demonstrated depth with LLM behavior, tool use, structured output, failure modes, cost and latency trade-offs, hallucination control, and production agentic harnesses.
• Strong engineering fundamentals in Python, Go, Rust, or another serious systems language.
• Deep knowledge of network programming and protocols, including TCP/UDP/IP, DNS, BGP, HTTP(S), WebSocket, and QUIC.
• Ability to validate statistical significance, move rapid proofs of concept into production, and explain results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with agent frameworks, MCP, RAG architectures, evaluation tooling, or local and self-hosted inference.
• Experience reducing latency in NGINX, Envoy, or custom load-balancing layers.
• Background in trading, esports, competitive athletics, or hackathons.
• Open-source contributions, technical blogging, or conference speaking.
