Senior Accountant (SaaS)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario; hybrid work in Canada with 2 in-office days

DAT Freight & Analytics operates LoadLink Technologies, a Canadian freight and logistics software company providing freight-matching and transportation technology solutions.

What you will do

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting under US GAAP and ASC 606.
• Analyze financial results and variances, providing insights to management.
• Support internal and external audits, including audit schedules and documentation.
• Maintain accounting policies and internal controls, including SOX compliance and segregation of duties.
• Manage Canadian, international, and multi-jurisdictional tax reporting, including GST/HST, PST, corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation required.
• 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Experience with CRM and ERP systems such as Salesforce and NetSuite, plus advanced Excel skills.
• Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or a Canadian work permit required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting SaaS accounting operations and accounting system implementations.
• Experience with cross-border transactions, international tax reporting, and transfer pricing documentation.
