Developer Experience Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: London; required to work from the London office 3 days per week. Support rotation takes place during UK business hours.

What you will do

• Own services provided by the Developer Experience team, including source control, build artifact repositories, AI-powered development tools, and software delivery tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders, trading teams, and developers to improve software delivery across the organization.
• Support internal engineering teams through a scheduled UK business-hours rotation, diagnosing complex CI workflows and managing Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Investigate and resolve complex systems and build issues while building relationships with development teams.
• Improve the reliability, performance, and observability of critical infrastructure and tooling.
• Manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code, educate users, demonstrate tools, and maintain self-service documentation.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of development experience and proficiency in at least one high-level programming language, such as Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience debugging and triaging complex systems and developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tooling, including Terraform.
• Experience managing highly available Linux systems in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Experience supporting containerized applications with Kubernetes, Docker, FluxCD or ArgoCD, and Helm.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer empathy skills.
