Release Engineer (Kubernetes): Building and maintaining secure delivery pipelines, reproducible release artifacts, and deployment automation for the Acra platform across cloud-native, on-premise, hybrid, and air-gapped environments with an accent on software supply chain security, cryptographic verification, and deterministic builds. Focus on designing offline packages, automating GitOps and infrastructure delivery, and producing immutable audit evidence for high-consequence and regulated deployments.
Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work setup with remote work also available

Technologies is a dual-use technology company building Acra, a secure platform based on infrastructure-agnostic enclaves for critical government and commercial workflows.
What you will do
- Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines and release engineering tooling for Acra across multi-cloud, hybrid, on-premise, and air-gapped environments.
- Design reproducible, self-contained release artifacts, including Helm charts, container images, and binary bundles, for offline deployment.
- Implement cryptographic signing, provenance tracking, SBOM generation, and automated vulnerability gates across build pipelines.
- Maintain release-side infrastructure as code and GitOps frameworks using ArgoCD, Flux, and Terraform.
- Partner with platform, security, and application engineering teams to improve versioning, branching, testing feedback, and release reliability.
- Produce immutable audit trails, change logs, and compliance evidence for each platform release.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in Release Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE, focused on secure software delivery pipelines.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, container registries, and cloud-native infrastructure automation.
- Experience packaging and releasing software for on-premise, edge, or air-gapped deployment environments.
- Knowledge of build integrity, artifact signing, provenance tracking, vulnerability scanning, and SBOM standards.
- Experience designing enterprise CI/CD and GitOps pipelines with testing, canary or blue-green releases, and rollback mechanisms.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, Bash, or Rust for release automation and CLI tooling.
Nice to have
- Experience in dual-use technology, defense, government, cybersecurity, or regulated enterprise environments.
- Eligibility for SC or DV clearance in the UK.
- Experience with cryptographic key management and code-signing infrastructure, including Vault or KMS.
- Familiarity with zero-trust networking tools and Kubernetes security operators such as Cilium, Istio, Kyverno, or SPIRE.
