Principal Software Engineer (.NET/Angular)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; flexible hybrid work options

What you will do

• Establish architectural vision and implementation strategy with Technology and Product leadership.
• Stay hands-on across Angular front ends, .NET Core services, databases, REST APIs, and proof-of-concept work.
• Design reliable, maintainable, and extensible APIs and software solutions.
• Define architecture guidelines, maintain documentation, and provide oversight through design and code reviews.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications, estimates, statements of work, and roadmap input.
• Champion AI-assisted development across coding, review, testing, and documentation, and identify AI capabilities for the product.

Requirements

• 12+ years of professional software development experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production systems.
• Experience architecting enterprise SaaS applications and leading initiatives across organizational boundaries.
• Deep knowledge of Onion, DDD, Clean, and SOLID architectural principles.
• Strong .NET Core and C# backend expertise; Angular experience preferred.
• Experience with Azure or AWS, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, REST/JSON APIs, Git, CI/CD, release management, and DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or OpenAI, plus application security and performance tuning.

Nice to have

• Deep experience across at least two areas including backend, frontend, infrastructure, data, or mobile.
• Consulting or professional services experience, including statement-of-work creation and partner engagements.
• Experience with iOS or Android technologies and distributed, cross-geography engineering teams.
• Experience integrating LLM or AI/ML capabilities into production SaaS applications.
