Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid workplace

Company

hirify.global's Engineering department builds ML-powered software solutions and develops AI-assisted engineering practices, frameworks, and tooling.

What you will do

• Own epic-level technical design, implementation, delivery, and cross-team dependency resolution.
• Architect and build ML-powered applications spanning cloud services, APIs, front-end frameworks, and multiple systems.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, solution design, technical reviews, and client-facing project discussions.
• Use Claude Code, the Claude Agent SDK, the Claude API, MCP servers, and agentic workflows to accelerate development.
• Mentor engineers on AI-assisted development, contribute to shared frameworks and skills, and support technical interviews.
• Implement integration, end-to-end, and evaluation testing for LLM-powered features, prompts, agents, and tool use.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a full stack developer.
• Hands-on daily experience using Claude Code, claude.ai, or the Claude API for software engineering.
• Experience taking software from conception to production, including AI-assisted implementation.
• Strong experience with cloud services, preferably Azure, and a modern object-oriented programming language.
• Experience with clean code, AI-generated code review and hardening, unit and API testing, agile development, Docker, and Git-based version control.

Nice to have

• Experience designing LLM-powered features, agent tool integrations, and MCP server solutions.
• Experience creating prompts, skills, subagents, context-management approaches, and evaluation harnesses.
