Senior Frontend Software Engineer (Bridge) Canada, Remote

What you will do

• Own frontend development for a large, mission-critical core application.
• Modernize and maintain legacy frontend code while delivering strategic product features.
• Contribute to project architecture and oversee microfrontend frameworks across 20+ production applications.
• Build accessible React interfaces with semantic HTML, keyboard support, screen-reader support, and WCAG conformance.
• Develop tested components using Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, MSW, and Storybook.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, backend engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver features.

Requirements

• Senior-level, production-proven frontend engineering experience.
• Deep experience with React and TypeScript.
• Ability to navigate and modernize large, under-documented legacy codebases.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, accessibility, internationalization, and performance metrics.
• Working familiarity with backend and infrastructure technologies, including Ruby on Rails, Java/Kotlin Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, AWS, and CI/CD.
• Ability to work remotely from Canada.

Nice to have

• Microfrontend or module-federation experience.
• Rails or JVM familiarity.
• Terraform and CI/CD experience.
• Experience with graph or search infrastructure.
• Experience using AI coding assistants and agents such as Claude Code.
