Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in California or at the NYC office

Salary: $218,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design, build, scale, and support React and TypeScript web applications.
• Set standards for accessibility and design system usage.
• Make technology decisions supporting business needs, security, privacy, and quality.
• Improve existing systems through new functionality, performance, stability, quality, and security enhancements.
• Collaborate with product, design, machine learning, infrastructure, and other engineering disciplines.
• Contribute to engineering standards, codebase quality, technical debt reduction, and peer mentoring.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building, shipping, and supporting web applications.
• 5+ years of experience with React.
• Experience independently delivering a small web application or a feature within a larger application.
• Experience or interest in the mobile technology stack, including React, TypeScript, and potentially Electron.
• Autonomy, self-direction, teamwork, and willingness to work across domains and languages.
• Deep expertise using AI tools to accelerate engineering workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with audio playback, audio recording, file encryption, or online and offline mode support on the web.
