Principal Database Programmer (Clinical Database Programming)

Location: Remote from Hungary or other European locations

What you will do

• Manage programming activities for clinical databases and applications from study start through post-database lock.
• Build, develop, test, validate, maintain, and support clinical databases, internally developed applications, and third-party systems.
• Provide database design guidance, advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and solutions for software and clinical database issues.
• Lead operational study and programming teams, coordinate with data management, project management, vendors, clients, and sponsors, and communicate project status.
• Forecast project hours, timelines, resource requirements, budgets, scope changes, and post-production work.
• Develop validation documents and SOP documentation, conduct demonstrations and training, and support onboarding and team development.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong experience with oncology studies; autoimmune disease experience is advantageous.
• Strong experience with Rave and Veeva, clinical database management system development, and more than one CDMS.
• Experience building forms, edit checks, and complex rules, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and develop solutions.
• Experience with object-oriented programming such as C#, C++, or VBS, plus understanding of CDISC standards including CDASH, SDTM, and ADaM.
• Professional written and spoken English is required, together with strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
