Senior Data Manager/REDCap Programmer (REDCap)

Location: United States - Remote

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 yearly

What you will do

• Design and implement complex REDCap databases for longitudinal, multi-arm, multilingual, and survey-based clinical research and public health studies.
• Develop API-based integrations, automated imports and exports, ETL processes, scheduling, authentication, and data synchronization with external systems.
• Create automated validation rules, discrepancy reports, quality assurance processes, monitoring dashboards, and data cleaning workflows.
• Operationalize and document data collection workflows according to study protocols, and create reports for study monitoring.
• Conduct QC, validation, UAT, and troubleshooting for data collection procedures, REDCap configurations, APIs, and integrations.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on database design, programming techniques, and EDC system capabilities.

Requirements

• B.S. in computer science, health sciences, or a related field with five or more years of experience leading EDC system development, or an M.S. with three or more years of relevant experience.
• Advanced experience with REDCap administration, database design, quality control, user acceptance testing, and study data reporting.
• Experience integrating EDC systems with electronic health records, laboratory systems, cloud storage, or reporting platforms through APIs or ETL pipelines.
• Experience with edit checks, automated validation rules, data cleaning, discrepancy management, audit processes, and documented change control.
• Strong QA/QC, troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• U.S. Citizenship is required in accordance with applicable contract or customer requirements.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with NIH Common Data Elements, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, Good Clinical Practice, or FAIR principles.
• Experience keeping current with new EDC functionality, APIs, and external modules.
