Power BI Developer (Power BI)

Location: Serbia. Remote work is supported; employees within a reasonably short commute of an office are encouraged to work on a hybrid basis.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of the enterprise Microsoft Power BI reporting and analytics platform.
• Build scalable semantic models, shared datasets, certified data assets, dashboards, and reports using the enterprise data platform and centralized data mart.
• Translate business requirements into actionable visualizations and reporting solutions in collaboration with stakeholders, data engineers, and application teams.
• Establish Power BI governance covering workspace management, access controls, row-level security, object-level security, data lineage, and compliance.
• Optimize reports, semantic models, and DAX calculations for performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Develop deployment, version control, documentation, monitoring, training, and self-service analytics practices while mentoring junior BI developers and analysts.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of Power BI development experience, with a proven track record of leading BI initiatives and implementing reporting environments from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI Service, Gateway, Power BI Desktop, and Report Server.
• Experience with SQL, data warehouses, ETL processes, semantic models, and DAX.
• Understanding of data governance, access control, row-level security, and enterprise reporting standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, or a related field.
• Strong communication, project management, cross-functional leadership, and complex project delivery skills.

Nice to have

• Power BI certifications.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and modern analytics practices.
