Test Engineer, Lead (Aerospace)

Salary: $108,900–$145,200 per year plus bonus

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement cost-effective testing and troubleshooting methods for systems, equipment, and manufactured products.
• Develop test plans and conduct product testing and formal qualification activities for complex systems and subsystems.
• Investigate test failures, analyze results, recommend corrective actions, and prepare technical reports.
• Assist systems engineers with test specifications, methods, and procedures.
• Develop proposal inputs for product testing and test equipment and present them to department and program personnel.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, upgrade, and develop automated test equipment, including technical data packages, drawings, and manuals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and at least 7 years of related experience.
• Experience testing complex systems and writing test reports.
• Expertise in electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of aerospace and defense industry requirements.
• Ability to solve problems responsively and work effectively under schedule and technical constraints.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
