What you will do

• Lead a portion of the Avionics Test team and manage test engineers.
• Own the design, development, and implementation of fully automated test systems for Terran R electronics production.
• Partner with hardware and software design teams to create manufacturing test assets.
• Support acceptance and qualification testing across avionics hardware.
• Coach engineers on technical and non-technical best practices while fostering collaboration and high performance.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with electronics hardware simulation, automation, and/or testing.
• Experience leading engineers in best practices and domain-specific technical principles.
• Experience designing and owning complex test systems for motor drives, DC-DC converters, load switches, high-voltage DC electronics, and/or high-voltage energy storage.
• Experience planning, designing, developing, debugging, and maintaining production test systems.
• Experience with environmental and qualification testing, including vibration, thermal, shock, and EMI/EMC validation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Altium Designer or another schematic capture and PCB design tool.
• Experience with analog sensors such as pressure transducers, RTDs, and accelerometers.
• Embedded software development and integration experience for avionics systems.
• Python or MATLAB scripting for data acquisition, recording, and analysis.
• Wire harness design or familiarity with NX CAD tools.
