Loan Support Specialist: Consumer Lending

Salary: $18.00–$28.00 per hour, with potential performance-based incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Perform servicing activities for HELOCs and secured and unsecured consumer loans, including auto, boat, RV, CD-secured, and personal loans.
• Process loan payments, maintenance requests, data entry, document creation, lien perfection, escrow and tax support, flood reviews, and general ledger activities.
• Maintain accurate loan documentation, servicing records, and system updates in accordance with approved terms and internal policies.
• Coordinate property appraisals for HELOC evaluation and collateral requirements by ordering and tracking appraisal activity.
• Capture workflow metrics and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with lending, credit, and operational teams while supporting compliance with applicable banking regulations.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of advanced retail loan servicing or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of retail loans, regulations, policies, procedures, and workflow changes.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, multitasking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Word, Excel, loan servicing systems, and office equipment.
• Ability to work accurately in a service-oriented, high-volume environment and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, training, or serving as a subject matter expert.
