hirify.global is running a language and AI training project focused on improving Tamil-language understanding and generation.

What you will do

• Listen to Tamil audio clips and evaluate nativeness, fluency, and overall linguistic quality.
• Assess pronunciation, intonation, accent, rhythm, and linguistic authenticity.
• Identify unnatural phrasing, pronunciation issues, and subtle language differences.
• Document evaluations and provide clear explanations and justifications in English.
• Apply evaluation guidelines, rubrics, and quality standards consistently.
• Collaborate with project coordinators to clarify ambiguous language content and complete audio review tasks on time.

Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in spoken and written Tamil.
• B2+ English proficiency for written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle linguistic differences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain linguistic observations.
• Ability to follow detailed guidelines and apply evaluation criteria consistently.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Nice to have

• Background in linguistics, phonetics, voice specialization, music, audio engineering, communications, or a related field.
• Experience with audio analysis, transcription, language evaluation, or linguistic assessment.
• Experience evaluating pronunciation, accents, speech patterns, or voice quality.
• Background in teaching, media, communications, or other language-related roles.
• Familiarity with AI-generated speech or language technologies.
