AI Tutor - Urdu

Location: Remote from any location worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role-specific needs. US-based candidates cannot be hired in Wyoming or Illinois. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: US-based candidates earn $35–$45 per hour; compensation information for international candidates is provided during recruitment.

What you will do

• Label, annotate, record, and provide inputs for multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and other auditory data.
• Curate high-quality audio data representing clear speech, linguistic detail, intonation, rhythm, accents, and professional recording standards.
• Evaluate speech accuracy, cultural vocal expressions, contextual interpretation, pronunciation, and audio quality.
• Collaborate with technical staff on speech modulation, accent variation, noisy real-world recordings, and multilingual audio processing.
• Help improve annotation tools and workflows for audio data projects.

Requirements

• Native Urdu proficiency with exposure to diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with clear pronunciation and natural vocal delivery suitable for recording.
• Strong auditory perception and the ability to identify speech, pronunciation, intonation, accent, and audio-quality nuances.
• Ability to transcribe audio accurately across different accents and recording conditions.
• Ability to make independent, consistent judgments about ambiguous, noisy, or accented audio.
• Access to a Chromebook, Mac running macOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later when working from a personal device.

Nice to have

• Background in linguistics, phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, speech sciences, cognitive science, or a related field.
• Experience with speech or audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or voice-model training.
• Professional voice experience such as voice acting, voice recording, or podcasting.
• Knowledge of advanced transcription and annotation practices involving disfluencies, accents, intonation, stress, rhythm, and emotion.
• Portfolio of voice samples, annotated transcripts, or other audio-related work.
