AI Tutor (Italian)

Location: Remote worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role-specific needs. US-based candidates cannot be hired in Wyoming or Illinois. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: US-based candidates receive $35–$45 per hour; compensation information for international candidates is provided during recruitment.

What you will do

• Provide labels, annotations, recordings, and other inputs for multilingual audio, voice, speech, and auditory-content projects.
• Curate audio data representing accurate linguistic, prosodic, accent, and pronunciation details.
• Evaluate speech accuracy, cultural vocal expressions, contextual meaning, and audio quality across languages.
• Collaborate with technical staff on speech modulation, accent variation, noisy recordings, and multilingual audio-processing tasks.
• Improve annotation tools and workflows for efficient audio-data production.

Requirements

• Native Italian proficiency, including exposure to diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with clear and natural pronunciation suitable for recordings.
• Strong auditory perception and the ability to identify pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, accent, and audio-quality nuances.
• Experience or demonstrated ability to transcribe audio accurately across accents and varying recording quality.
• Ability to make independent, consistent judgments on ambiguous, noisy, or accented speech and communicate audio-related feedback clearly.
• For work from a personal device, a Chromebook, macOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later is required.

Nice to have

• Background in linguistics, phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, speech sciences, cognitive science, or a related field.
• Experience with speech or audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or voice-model training.
• Professional voice experience, including voice acting, voice recording, podcasting, or audio production.
• Advanced transcription and annotation skills covering disfluencies, accents, intonation, stress, rhythm, and emotion.
• Portfolio of voice samples, annotated transcripts, or other audio-related work.
