AI Tutor - Italian (AI)

Location: Remote worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role-specific needs. US-based candidates cannot be hired in Wyoming or Illinois. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Compensation: US-based candidates: $35–$45 per hour. International compensation details are provided during recruitment.

What you will do

• Label, annotate, record, and evaluate multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and other auditory data.
• Curate high-quality audio datasets representing linguistic and prosodic details such as intonation, rhythm, accents, and natural spoken output.
• Collaborate with technical staff to improve speech modulation, accent handling, noisy real-world recordings, and multilingual audio processing.
• Improve annotation tools and workflows for efficient audio-data production.
• Transcribe and assess speech accurately across accents and varying audio quality, making consistent judgments on ambiguous material.

Requirements

• Native Italian proficiency with exposure to diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with clear and natural vocal delivery suitable for recording.
• Strong auditory perception and the ability to identify speech, pronunciation, intonation, accent, and audio-quality nuances.
• Experience or demonstrated ability in accurate transcription, multilingual audio evaluation, voice recording, and audio feedback.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills, including independent judgment on ambiguous audio content.
• Ability to use a Chromebook, macOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later when working from a personal device.

Nice to have

• Background in linguistics, phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, speech sciences, cognitive science, or a related field.
• Experience with speech or audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or voice-model training.
• Professional voice work, voice acting, podcasting, or audio production experience.
• Portfolio of voice samples, annotated transcripts, or other audio-related work.
