Sr. Director of Infrastructure, Data Center, Cloud (FinOps)

Location: Spring, Texas, United States of America

Salary: $200,150–$280,250 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for candidates in the United States.

What you will do

• Define and execute enterprise infrastructure and hosting strategy across data centers, colocation facilities, public cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Lead modernization across compute, storage, virtualization, networking, backup and recovery, cloud platforms, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Oversee AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid cloud operations, including migration, governance, security, automation, observability, and self-service capabilities.
• Establish FinOps governance covering cloud cost transparency, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, optimization, and infrastructure investment planning.
• Drive operational excellence through availability improvements, incident and problem management, SLAs, SLOs, disaster recovery, and automation.
• Lead global infrastructure and engineering teams while managing strategic vendors, cloud providers, contracts, and service performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud operations, data center management, or platform engineering.
• 7+ years leading global technical teams and large-scale enterprise infrastructure operations.
• Deep expertise in compute, storage, virtualization, networking, cloud platforms, operational tooling, hybrid cloud, and transformation programs.
• Experience leading FinOps, cloud optimization, infrastructure financial governance, large operational budgets, vendors, and strategic sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure security, governance, compliance, resiliency, executive communication, and cross-functional leadership.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, ITIL, or FinOps Certified Practitioner.
• Experience with AIOps, observability, infrastructure automation, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Experience supporting regulated or highly secure enterprise environments.
